Your roof is one of the most important parts of your house. It protects the rest of your house from the elements. Most people take their roof for granted and don’t give much thought to it until something is obviously wrong. Summer heat, winter cold, rain, snow, ice, high winds, hail and rays from the sun all combine to damage your roof.
Licensed Roof Inspections
Why do you need your roof inspected if you don’t have a leak? Our home inspectors are trained to look at all aspects of your roof. We don’t just look for storm damage. We will check your roof for signs of general wear and tear as well as storm damage that you might not be aware of. Once we’re done with the inspection you will be provided with a report and pictures of any areas of concern on your roof.
How Often Should My Roof Be Inspected?
If your roof is older than 12 years, it should be inspected every 2 or 3 years to determine the condition of the shingles, flashings, vents and pipe jackboots. The Sun can cause the rubber boot to degrade over time. Rubber loses its pliability and becomes stiff and/or brittle. Over time it will crack and crumble, providing a way for the elements to enter your home.
